Decent gear, delivery could be faster

I bought a carbon fiber paddle and a dry bag from Kona Sports. The paddle is lightweight and feels good in the hand, definitely an upgrade from my old one. The dry bag is also good quality, kept my phone and keys safe on the water. I placed the order on a Monday, and it shipped by Wednesday, arriving at my home in Texas the following Monday. So, a bit over a week for delivery. Not terrible, but not super fast either. Customer service was responsive when I asked about tracking. They didn't have the paddle in a bundle deal at the time, which would have been nice, but the individual prices were fair.

First order, generally happy

I ordered a Kona One SUP and an electric pump a few weeks ago. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. It shipped out in two days and arrived in Colorado about 8 days later, which was fine. Packaging was secure, nothing was damaged. The SUP itself seems well-made, and the pump worked perfectly right out of the box, which was a relief. I had a question about the leash attachment, sent an email, and got a reply within 24 hours. The support was helpful. It's a solid board for recreational paddling, easy to inflate and deflate. Overall, a good experience for my first time buying from them.

It was pretty quick for my accessories, like 2-3 days. For a big board, I'd probably add an extra day or two. Could always call them to check if they can rush it.

Nah, I don't think they do student discounts. Best bet is usually their seasonal sales or the newsletter for a code.

They don't usually have coupon codes you can just punch in, but they do have bundle deals and sales. Sign up for the newsletter, that's where I got a code once.

Kona's inflatables are solid. I've had mine for two seasons, no issues. They also have a good warranty, I think it's like 3 years on the seams.

Mine has been through a lot, still going strong. Just make sure you don't overinflate it in direct sun, that's usually where problems start with any inflatable.

Huge difference, honestly. Decathlon is fine for a super casual beginner, but Kona boards are way better quality and performance. Especially if you're going to paddle regularly.

I had a board from SurfSpot before, and my Kona One feels much more stable and tracks better. You get what you pay for with SUPs, especially when it comes to stiffness and durability.
